Vinyl Wraps: What the Process Entails

Detailing & Customization Expert • August 25, 2022

If you’ve seen other cars with vinyl wraps and wanted to add one to your car, we can help with this process at Lasting Impressions Auto Detailing. Here’s a closer look at what the process looks like when we install vinyl wraps:

  • The process starts by you choosing the wrap you want added to your vehicle. Many vinyl wraps today come pre-designed, but you can also work with a graphic designer to customize your wrap.
  • One you finalize your vinyl wrap and it gets printed, you’ll bring your car in to our location for application. We will clean every part of your car’s surface thoroughly to eliminate any wax, debris, or contaminants on your paint. This will ensure that your wrap properly adheres to your car’s surface.
  • We will get to work meticulously applying the wrap to the surface of your car. Once we initially add the wrap, we will use a specialized tool that adheres the wrap to the paint of your car while eliminating any bubbles. At the end of this process, we will use a heat gun to bond the wrap to your car.

Although a custom paint job can take days to complete, one of the benefits of vinyl wraps is that we can complete the application process within just a few hours. To learn more about how we add vinyl wraps to cars or to schedule an application appointment, get in touch with us today.
