From a 13-Year-Old's Passion to Charlotte's Premier Detailing Brand: The Lasting Impressions Story
My name is Urriah Robson, and I'm the owner and founder of Lasting Impressions Auto Detailing. I wanted to take a few minutes to share something a little more personal with you — the story behind this business, why it means so much to me, and where I hope to take it next.
Where It All Began
I was 13 years old the first time I fell in love with detailing. There was something about taking a car that looked tired and worn and bringing it back to life — it just clicked with me. That feeling never really left, and in 2017, it turned into something real: Lasting Impressions.
From the very beginning, this was never just about making cars look good. It was about the people behind the wheel, their story, their families, and their goals. My mission was simple: build genuine, trust-based relationships with every client who walks through our doors, and back that up with the best workmanship in the industry. That mission and mindset hasn't changed, and it never will.
Growing Beyond Detailing
We started out focused purely on detailing, but over the years, we've grown into offering much more—paint protection and restoration, window tint, ceramic coatings, vehicle customization and more. It's been a long journey, and I'm proud of how far we've come.
But here's the thing: no matter how much the services have expanded, what we stand for hasn't budged an inch. It's still about real relationships and consistent, high-quality results—every car, every client, every time.
I also believe that if you're not learning, you're falling behind. That's why we've pursued specialized training and certifications from Ceramic Pro and SunTek in Paint Protection. I never want to stop being a student of this craft, and I think that mindset is part of what sets us apart. Not only do I love learning, growing and helping others, but my team does as well.
What's Next for Lasting Impressions
Looking ahead, my goal is to continue to make Lasting Impressions one of Charlotte's premier names in protection and preservation-based automotive care. But honestly, this next chapter is about something even bigger to me.
Cars and people — those are my two greatest passions in life. And I've always dreamed of sharing what I've learned, not just to grow my own business and take care of my family, but to help others build something meaningful too. That's why I'll soon be earning my certification as a professional trainer, with plans to open a training institute where I can help develop the next generation of skilled, passionate professionals in this industry.
